About the event
Rudy Salgado of River City Tintype will bring his mobile darkroom and antique photo equipment to make original tintype portraits on metal. Based in Louisville, Rudy uses a 19th-century photographic process to make heirloom forever portraits. Book a session with Rudy to see yourself in silver. Portrait sessions can include single or multiple people (along with pets and props.)
A special offering at a discounted rate of $70 for one 4x5 portrait, $140 for one 8x10 portrait. One portrait takes 15 minutes to complete. Please sign up for another slot for each additional plate.
What to wear?
Props, patterns, hats, and textures are especially fun for tintype, so please consider this as you plan your outfit. Some eyeglasses appear as sunglasses in this process, so you may want to remove your glasses just prior to the photograph.
